Goal: Improve Spinal Mobility for Better Posture & Rotation
The golf swing places huge rotational demands on the spine. If mobility is limited, it not only makes rotation harder but can also reduce hip and shoulder mobility — two key sources of power.
A loss of spinal mobility is also linked with hunched posture, which makes it much more difficult to maintain spine angle and turn effectively in the swing.
The Spine Flexion & Extension exercise is a simple way to keep the spine mobile and healthy. By moving through these ranges regularly, you’ll improve posture at address and make it easier to rotate during the swing.
Try 1–2 sets of 10–20 reps daily. This exercise is also included in the 12-minute Dynamic Warm-Up #1 on the Fit For Golf App, which I recommend before practice or play.
